The Album Experience

MSTK is an album-first collective—artists who believe in the power of a full musical journey. While individual songs are great, we’ve always felt that the true magic happens when you experience a collection of tracks that work together, telling a cohesive story across different styles and sounds. This approach allows us to explore themes, moods, and narratives in a way that a single track can’t.

But we get it: we’re living in an era where quick, digestible content reigns. So, while we release each track as a standalone single for those short, sweet moments, the full album experience is where the heart of this project lies.

- Stir It Up! -

Black, white, Sue or Ted
I don’t care who’s in your bed
Tall, short, queer or straight
Love yourself and claim your fate

Stir it up, don’t get stuck
Mix it round, stand your ground
I dig you just the way you are

Left, right, up and down
Take a seat and look around
East, west, it’s a bore
Till you break down all your doors

Stir it up, don’t get stuck
Mix it round, stand your ground
Monochrome, I don’t like
Technicolor, is my right
Stir it up, watch it flow
Mix it round, make some sound
That is the way I like to roll

I never take the same,
road more than once
Throw away those plans,
let the moment be your guide
Oh, can you set your mind that free

Fast, slow, real or fad
A world of choice can drive you mad
Shy, bold, quiet, loud
Be yourself and wear it proud

Stir it up, don’t get stuck
Mix it round, stand your ground
Don’t ever change the way you are

There comes a time,
when you have to face it
Shed your armor and just embrace it
You are you, and I am me
As different as two can humanly be

Sing, dance, teach or learn
Do what makes your spirit burn
Young, old, rich or poor
You can crash, or you can soar

Stir it up, don’t get stuck
Mix it round, stand your ground
Monochrome, I don’t like
Technicolor, is my right
Stir it up, watch it flow
Mix it round, make some sound
That is the way to feel alive

I never take the same,
road more than once
Throw away those plans,
let the moment be your guide
Oh, can you set your soul that free

Be free

- I Don't Care -

She takes the road, that others don’t
Stands up for those, that others won’t notice
They won’t notice, they don’t notice them

Some say that she, has lost her way
That there will be a, a price to pay, you’ll see
Someday you’ll see, some way you will pay

And she says…

But I don’t care, what you think
So I don’t care, what you say
And I won’t change, one single thing
Cause I know that those
small minds, remain blind
When they stay, with their own kind

If I was stranded, on a desert isle
I’d want her there, to make me smile and say
I will rescue, I will rescue you

No you won’t…
Keep her down, can’t keep her down
And you can’t silence her sound,
you’ll hear her sound
Cause she just can’t stick around
And she says, and she says
And she says, and she says

No I don’t care, what you think
So I don’t care, what you say
And I won’t change, any damn thing
Cause I know that those
small minds, remain blind
When they stay, with their own kind

And she says, no I don’t care
And she says, no I don’t care
Woo she says, no I don’t care
Small minds, remain blind,
When they stay, with their own kind
She says, no I don’t care
And she says, no I don’t care

Open your eyes

- Meant To Be Together -

And I think…

We were meant to be together
The ties are strong and made to weather
Those rains we brought won’t last forever
And I can see sun shining through

Any time, anyway, any place, you’ll see
Every time, every way, every place, we were
Literally, fatefully, meant to be,
always together till the end of time

We were meant to be together
You fit me like my favorite sweater
I know we’ll make it through whatever
Cause I can see sun shining through

Every fork in the road, is just a, detour
Any bump, on the path, doesn’t last, for long
Going left, going right, opposites,
attracting till the end of time

Oh, oh, oh, oh

The sun shines through
(Sometimes hard to see, the mystery to me,
that we were meant to be together)

Sun shines through
(Sometimes hard to see, the rationale to me,
that we were meant to be together)

Sun shines through
(Sometimes hard to see, the miracle to me,
that we were meant to be together)

Ooh ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh

And I know that…

We were meant to be together
Our bond is fierce and tough as leather
For you I sing this love letter
And I can see sun shining
And in my eyes it’s blinding
I feel the sun shining through

We were meant to be together

- Deep Down Love -

Abstract image of flowing light to represent a man and a woman gazing at one another

Deep, in my bones there lies
A voice begging you to hear its cries
And down, in my veins there flows
A river of sadness and hurt, no one will know

Deep, in my brain there lives
Those sweet memories of life with you
And down, in my gut I feel
A mile wide, bleeding wound
that may never heal

Deep down love
What a gift to receive
Can it last forever?
I wanna believe
Deep down love
It is all that’s left from you
And it’s what I have held on to

Deep in my mind, I know
Love can be joy or can hurt you so
And down on my knees I pray
For a chance to know,
love again on a brand-new day

Deep down love
Such a path to walk down
Spinning my head, around and around
Deep down love
It is what I’ll keep running to
Knowing that I will, be with you

Deep down love
Such a path to walk down
Spinning my head, around and around
Deep down love
It is what I’ll keep running to
Knowing that I will, be with you

- It Was The Year -

It was the year
That I saw my own downfall
The kind of year
That taught me I could lose it all

Had the perfect career
Envy of my peers
The watched it disappear

It was the year
When my lover broke the news
It was so clear
There was even more to lose

Had the love of my life
Was ready to be a wife
Then felt the pain of his knife

It was the year when, pleasure was pain
Love was hate, sun was rain
Choice was fate, please rewind my life

STOP! (Ooh stop)
What did I do so bad
PLEASE! (Aah please)
Give me back what I had
I’M BEGGING! (Begging, begging you)
What do I have to do now
TO MAKE IT, (Make it back)
To the life I once knew

It was the year (It was the year)
That I think I lost my mind
The kind of year (The kind of year)
I tried every fix, I could find
Searching for some relief (For some relief)
Every comfort was brief (The comfort was brief)
There’s no escaping the grief

It takes time I hear
Maybe another year

This is the year
That I’m finally waking up
I’m in the clear
Everything is shaping up
I’m never looking back (Not looking back)
I’m moving on and that’s a fact
This year I’m back on track (Oh yes I’m on track)

This is nothing like last year

- Data Mine -

You’re the last face that I see,
before I close my eyes at night
And the first face that I see,
when I rise to the morning light

I need to hold you,
Have to touch you,

Our love feels sublime
So, so, so, real and very fine

You know me,
like nobody else, could ever know
(Data mining me)
I tell you all my secrets,
never holding back, the flow
(Digging so deep down)

Always listening
Always looking

You’re with me all the time
It’s such a closeness you’ve designed

You always know where I am going,
and where I’ve been
(Data mining me)
And I can feel you reaching,
in deep down under my skin
(Digging so deep down)

I can’t breathe
And I can’t leave

Our love feels sublime
So, so, so, real and very fine

I wonder is this love,
or just an obsessive phase
I think it might be time to,
put it down, and end this craze
I don’t think I wanna
So, screw it babe, let’s do it

You’re with me all the time
It’s such a closeness you’ve designed

You’re the last face that I see,
before I close my eyes at night
(Data mining me)
And the first face that I see,
when I rise to the morning light
(Digging so deep down)

- Josephine -

Now you’re so far from home,
running scared
And you feel cold and alone,
no one cares
With just the clothes on your back
And a hopeful heart, for a new start
But you don’t have a choice oh no

A thousand miles or more,
on a road
So many traveled before,
bear the load
And you might make it on through
Hot and dusty days, black frozen nights
And you can never go back home

Oh-oh
Josephine, (Oh why can’t they see you)
Josephine, (Why can’t they hear you)
Josephine, (Oh why do they fear you)
Josephine, be free

When at last you arrive,
at their gates
So joyful to be alive,
then the hate
You see so clear in their eyes
You can taste on your tongue
You see it’s, such bittersweet victory

Now your children are gone,
don’t know where
You pray that they can move on,
but beware
Just like a basket set drift
In a river of dreams, you let them go
And one day they may know why

Oh-oh
Josephine, (Oh why can’t they see you)
Josephine, (Why can’t they hear you)
Josephine, (Oh why do they fear you)
Josephine, can’t we be free

Run-run-run… and you run-run-run
Runaway
Run-run-run… and you run-run-run
Runaway
Run-run-run… and you run-run-run
Runaway
And you run-run-run…

Now this story’s so old,
but still broken
And yet it’s still being told,
have we woken?
I think we still can be healed
Our fate is not sealed, if we can own up
To all the past sins we have made

People open your minds,
see the truth
And don’t let fear make you blind,
where’s the proof
Just take a walk in her shoes
To know what it’s like, to feel her pain

Cause one day this could be
One day this could be
One day this could be you
